"Sonetto del Petrarca No. 104 by Franz Liszt - Demystified" ~ Presented by Dr. Joanna Kim

Liszt’s Sonetto del Petrarca No. 104 is a challenging piece both physically and emotionally. The music alternates between an agitated, declarative extreme and a state of sweet expressiveness with many musical indications marked by the composer. This presentation hopes to provide the audience with better understanding of one of the most exquisitely lyrical compositions by carefully examining the Italian terms used.
